Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

I do! You can choose between virtual and in-person sessions. You can choose the setting that feels most comfortable and supportive for you.
I offer virtual sessions throughout Washington State, as well as in-person options in Edmonds. If you prefer meeting indoors, I’m in the office on Thursdays. If being outside and moving while we talk feels like a better fit, I also offer walk-and-talk sessions in the Edmonds area Tuesday - Friday.

I am in network with Premera and Lifewise.

I am considered an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Because I am an associate-level clinician, many insurance plans do not reimburse for my services, even when you have out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance company before beginning therapy to confirm whether services provided by an associate-level clinician are eligible for reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your individual plan and cannot be guaranteed.
When contacting your insurance company, you may want to ask:
Does my plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?
Are services provided by an associate-level mental health clinician eligible for reimbursement under my plan?
Do I have an out-of-network deductible, and if so, how much of it has been met?
What percentage or amount will my plan reimburse for an out-of-network therapy session?
Is there a limit on the number of therapy sessions covered each year?
Do I need prior authorization or a referral before receiving out-of-network mental health services?
What information or documentation do I need to submit for reimbursement?

Therapy with me is collaborative and person-centered. I see you as the expert on your own experience, and we’ll shape our work together around what matters to you. I’m warm, curious, and engaged—I won’t just sit back and nod. I’ll ask questions, share what I’m noticing, and offer reflections while leaving room for you to decide what fits and what doesn’t.
At times, I may invite you to look at something from a different perspective or gently challenge a familiar pattern. I’ll always ask for your consent before doing so. Your autonomy matters to me, and you get to have a say in where we go and how we get there.
We’ll slow things down and get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface. That might mean noticing what’s happening in your body, getting to know different parts of yourself, exploring patterns in your relationships, or paying attention to what happens between us in the room.
I believe therapy can hold seriousness and humor, grief and joy, discomfort and connection. You don’t need to show up a certain way or have the right words. Bring whatever is here, and we’ll start there.
